Tiny dog. Huge personality. Endless loyalty.
Whitney’s story began with a second chance. She was rescued by the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society after being saved from a three-day kill shelter in Okanogan County. What could have been a heartbreaking ending became the beginning of a life filled with love, comfort, and family.
My mom and stepdad welcomed Whitney into their home when she was just a puppy, and she quickly became part of the family. After my mom passed away in 2023 and my stepdad later moved, Whitney officially came to live with me in October 2025 — although in many ways, she had already been my best friend for years.
Whitney is the definition of a loyal companion. She has a calm, comforting presence and would make the perfect therapy dog. She loves people deeply and has a way of knowing exactly when someone needs comfort, company, or simply a warm little shadow nearby.
But don’t let the sweet face fool you too much.
Whitney also has a nickname: Cujo. While she absolutely adores humans, she’s a little more selective when it comes to other dogs. If another dog catches her attention at the wrong moment, her spicy side can suddenly appear. Around our family, though, that big personality is part of what makes her so lovable.
Whitney is more than a rescue dog. She’s family, a survivor, a source of comfort, and one of the biggest blessings in my life.

The laid-back boy with the biggest heart.
Marley’s story also began with a second chance. He was adopted as a puppy from the Seattle Humane, and from the very beginning, he brought joy everywhere he went.
Marley has always had a calm, easygoing personality that instantly makes people feel comfortable around him. He’s the kind of dog everyone falls in love with within minutes. Whether he’s relaxing at home, riding in the car, or simply sitting beside the people he loves most, Marley brings a peaceful energy wherever he goes.
His dad is his absolute best friend, and the bond they share is something special to see. Marley loves being close to his family and is happiest when he’s included in whatever adventure is happening — especially if it involves a car ride. The moment he realizes he’s going somewhere, the excitement begins.
One of Marley’s funniest traits is the way he “talks.” When he gets excited or wants attention, he makes adorable little sounds and sometimes even runs while trying to talk at the same time. It’s impossible not to laugh when Marley gets going.
He’s sweet, loyal, goofy, and incredibly lovable — the perfect reminder of how life-changing a rescue dog can be.
Marley may have started as a second chance dog, but to our family, he became one of the best things that ever happened to us
